Personal Tactics, based just south of Atlanta was founded in 2008 by Harlan Hamlin and Robert Wilson. To bring high quality and affordable self defense training to the average law abiding citizen.

Hamlin, President of the company is responsible for day to day operations of Personal Tactics. He Is an NRA certified Pistol instructor, Glock Factory Certified Armor and Glock Certified Firearms instructor and is Certified by the State of Utah Department of Public Safety as a Concealed Firearms Instructor.

Wilson, our Chief Instructor is certified by the NRA as a Pistol instructor and brings 27 years of Military, Police firearms instruction and unarmed self defense instruction to Concealed Weapons Training. Wilson has real battlefield experience in the use of firearms while serving our country in the US Marines. Additionally Wilson has served as a Police Officer with the Atlanta Police department, Fulton County Sheriffs warrant division, and the College Park Tri City Narcotics Division. Wilson is currently employed by a United States Federal Government agency.

In Wilson's career he has had the occasion to train with some of the world's elite including; The British S.A.S., Rogers Shooting School Advanced Rating, Ken Hackathorn, Larry Vickers, Ken Forbus, Tom Givens, Andy Stanford, Dave Harrington, and James Yeager.

According to the FBI, Atlanta has over 3 times the national average in violent crimes and has the highest murder rate in the nation! Due to the sharp rise, the likelihood of becoming a victim has increased at an alarming rate.
